Uncle John was always kind and smiling at me when I was a child. As I got older I would share my dream of being a police officer which came to fruition after my Uncle John moved to Sacramento. I knew he was proud of me because of his own service in the U.S Navy. Though I never got to visit him in Sacramento, I thought of him when daily activities would remind me of him. I regret not talking to him up to his death but it's a lesson learned too late. What I am thankful for is that he will always be my Uncle John and I can talk to him through prayer.
