John Wesley Jr.'s Obituary
John Wesley Jr. was born on December 29, 1951 to John and Lottie Wesley in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After John Jr graduated from High school in 1969, he moved to Sacramento California.
In 1970, John met Eva along with her 2 children Tony and James Vinson. Shortly after married and went on to have 3 children, John Shaft, Sarah and Phillip Wesley.
As a favorite hobby and career path of auto mechanics John Jr. worked at the first black owned ow company in Sacramento Triple L Towing where you would find him working on cars, watching drag car racing or visiting a local race car track. Anyone who knew John Jr. from an early age would note that he could change any part on a car and fix just about anything that needed fixing. Through the years, John Jr. enjoyed fishing, camping, race car driving, eating, drinking and making friends wherever he went. John Jr. was a stranger to no one and found great purpose sharing laughs, joys, and challenges of those around him. John Jr. was authentically and wholeheartedly there for those in his life, an all-around good guy and was one of a kind. John Jr. will never be forgotten but forever remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
John Wesley Jr peacefully called to be with the Lord on November 4, 2022 in Sacramento, CA at the age of 70. He is survived by wife Eva Rodriquez Wesley and children John (Samantha) Wesley, Sarah Wesley, Phillip Wesley, Tony (Harriet) Vinson and James Vinson. Godchildren Courtney Wesley (Niece), Thaddeus Gipson and Andre Turner. 18 Grandchildren: Shaft, Siona, Taulima, Keith (Alana) Jefferies, Tenéa, Mya, Phillip Jr., Phoenix, Tony Jr., Tavurine, Teris, Titus, Mary, Ashley, Layla, James IV, James V and Rose. 12 great grandchildren. Siblings Beverly Green and Douglas Wesley. Nephews Broderick, Deon and Jarmar Green.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Lottie Wesley, Goddaughter Petra Turner, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and many other family members.
He will be cremated and laid to rest Saturday, December 10, 2022 1:00 pm, at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95838.
