John D. Sanders' Obituary
John D. Sanders was born in Shuqalak, Mississippi, January 12, 1932 to the late Mack Henry and Thelma Ruth Sanders. John was the third child of 10 children born to this Union. In the early 1940’s the family relocated to Hattiesburg, Mississippi where he grew up and attended school. In 1956 John relocated to Rock Island, Illinois where he worked as a mechanic for 30 years. He later retired and relocated to Sacramento, California. On June 27, 1972 John and Carol gave birth to their only child, Jacquelin January. John enjoyed bowling and golf. He was a semi bowler and golfer all over the Mid-West and part of California. On May 07, 2016 John D Sanders answered a higher calling and was called from earth to glory.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Mack & Missionary Ruth Sanders; Three brothers, Archie B. Sanders, Willie Lee “Bill” Sanders, and Ezra “Don” Sanders; One sister Theora Delores Wash; He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Jacquelin January and son in law Gerald January; two grandchildren, Symone and September January; two brothers; Clyde Sanders; Earl Sanders; Three sisters, Gloria Howard, Ruth Ann Joseph and Nancy Green; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
