John Thomas Martin's Obituary
John Thomas Martin was born September 3rd, 1966 in Riverside, CA. He was adopted as a baby by John Arthur Martin and Simy Martin. John was raised in North Highlands, California and later his mother moved him and his sister to Folsom,California.
John dabbled in several different career paths in his younger years. He worked as a correctional officer and building cabinets, among other things. His true passion was in car audio and electronics. He was in the industry for 30 years and was well known in the Sacramento region for car audio and alarms.
In 1994 John became a husband and father to his first son Erik Martin. Keith Martin was born in 1996 and Gabriel in 1999. John was a great dad and worked hard to take care of his family. He got involved with cub scouts and was on the Orangevale Little League board as concessions director.
In 2015 his marriage ended however he found a new love and enjoyed several years of adventures with her.He was diagnosed with colon cancer almost 5 years ago. He fought a long hard battle. Even as the cancer spread he kept trying to work as much as he could, go out to dinner with his sons and visit the ocean with his girlfriend. He went home to eternal rest on Sunday July 3, 2022.
John is preceeded in death by his parents who raised him and by extended family members who loved him as a son and nephew. He is survived by his sons Erik Martin, Keith Martin and Gabriel Martin. He has a sister Mary Martin and nieces Hannah and Emilee. He also leaves behind Harper who was like a granddaughter to him and many other family members and friends who became family.
There will be memorial service on Friday July 29, 2022 at 1pm. Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes located at 4701 Marysville Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95838.
