LAMBERT, JohnEntered into rest at his home in Rio Linda surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 8, 2006, at age 62 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a native of Pontiac, Michigan born Sunday, June 4, 1944, and a resident of the Sacramento area for the past 30 years. Beloved husband of Wanda Lambert for the last 40 years. Devoted father of James of Rancho Cordova. Dear brother to 7 sisters and 3 brothers, all of Michigan. Also survived by his extended family of 40 years, his loving and very loved mother-in-law Gracie Reed, and 5 loving sisters-in-law and their husbands, all of whom helped take care of John throughout his illness, 4 of Sacramento and one of Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by both parents Vern and Louise Lambert. John worked for 25 years at Camellia Lanes on McClellan Air Force Base as chief mechanic of the bowling center. After the base closure he worked for 2 years as a bowling supply salesman for A&L Supply of Rancho Cordova. He was employed at Fireside Lanes as a bowling mechanic when he became ill. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and remained a reservist for 2 years. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, co-workers and all who knew him. The family invites you to attend a visitation 4:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday, June 13, 2006, and a funeral service 10:00am Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd. Sacto., CA; 922-5833.
