KING, John Robert
Born March 7,1938 passed away October 2, 2013 at the age of 75 in his hometown of Sacramento, CA. He graduated from Grant High School in 1956 and worked for the California Highway Patrol for 30 plus years. John shared his love of the American River Parkway with his faithful dog ‘Chip’ on nightly walks. During his retirement he developed a passion for genealogy. He was preceded in death by his parents Marguerite and Paul King, brother Paul King (JR) and sister Doris King. John leaves behind his sister Mary Harvey, brother George King, former wife Carole Taylor and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday October 25, 2013 at 1:00pm at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento CA. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory can be made to American River Parkway Foundation, KVIE/PBS and Sacramento SPCA.
