John Elvin Jackson's Obituary
John was born on December 12,1947 in Georgetown South Carolina to William and Rose Jackson.He was the oldest of seven siblings. After high school John enlisted into the US Marine Corps.John returned to Georgetown, to marry his high school sweetheart and life partner Sandra in 1967.John and Sandra had four children. By the end of 1967 John and Sandra relocated to Brooklyn ,New York where John worked as a EMT/ Paramedic
In 1977 John and Sandra relocated from the East Coast to Sacramento,CA where John was employed as a mail handler for the US Postal Service until he retired.
John loved fishing and on most days you would find him on the fishing banks.
John received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was a member of Arnett AMEChurch. In 1985 he rededicated his life to Christ and was attending Calvary Christian Center.
John answered the call from the Lord on January 20, 2019 and left this earthly place. He rejoined family that preceded him in death; William and Rose Jackson (parents),Earnest Jackson (brother),Ben Green Jr.(brother).
Those saddened by his departure are his wife and life partner of 52 yrs.Sandra,four children PamelaJackson,ReggieJackson(Farrah),Chantane Jackson, Andre Jackson, four siblings MargrettaCannon (Mardeio),Shelton Jackson,Jennifer Jackson,and Michael Green.Sisters-in-law Betty Shubrick and Faye Shubrick.
Seventeen Grandchildren, Fourteen Great-Grandchildren,numerous nieces,nephews,cousins,and friends.
