THOMAS, JOE E., he loved the Lord and was an active member of the Nazarene Church when he was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 13, 2003 age 86. A native of Dadeville, Alabama born Saturday, July 29, 1916 and a resident of the Sacramento area for 56 years. Beloved husband to Evelyn Thomas for 57 years. Precious father of Danny Thomas of Carmichael and Judy McDorman of Citrus Heights. Dear brother of James Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Loving grandfather of Tracy (Todd) Wooddy, Scott (Cassandra) Thomas, Casey (Jamie) Thomas, Ryon Thomas and Jordan Thomas. Also great grandfather of Nathaniel, Kristen, Hannah, Elizabeth, Ben, Kimberly, Jason and Britany. He was a member of the VFW. Mr. Thomas was a WWII veteran serving from 1941 through 1945, he fought in North Africa, Sicily, D-Day and Battle of the Bulge. The family invites you to attend a visitation 4:00 to 8:00pm Monday, March 17, 2003 and a funeral service 10:00am Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes 4701 Marysville Blvd. Sacto., Ca. 922-5833. Interment will follow at Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
