Jo-Ann Elizabeth Steuart's Obituary
JO-ANN ELIZABETH STEUART born October 29, 1934 a native of Tennessee. She moved to California in 1948 at the age of 13. Jo-Ann graduated from McClatchy High School in Sacramento and married Walter Edward Steuart Jr., the love of her life on June 1, 1956 and raised three children Walter 'Sonny', Jo-Linda and Mary. Walter was an Air Force man which frequently took him T.D.Y. Jo-Ann started her career as a waitress and proceeded to go to school becoming an LVN and then eventually finished her schooling with a degree as a registered nurse (RN). She retired after many years of service at Sutter General Hospital and other facilities. While Jo-Ann worked hard her whole life, her life really revolved around her family, her husband, her children and grandchildren. This was witnessed not only by the sustenance she provided but also by the wonderful times spent together: whether it was a pool side back yard BBQ or many days spent at Harmony Ridge she loved to spend time with her family. She had a special love for each one. Jo-Ann was welcomed to Heaven on March 26, 2013.
Jo-Ann was a resident of Citrus Heights for 65 years. She is survived by her children Walter and Mary Steuart, JoLinda Frost, and Mary and Christian Larkins, her siblings Dave and Shirley Gibson. Jo-Ann is also survived by her grandchildren Christina Steuart, Walter (Eddie) Steuart IIII, Ricky Williams, Jennifer Williams, Maryann and Nathan Iniguez, Desiree and James Paris, Christian and Macee Larkins, Gary Frost Jr.and Billy Williams, her great grandchildren Edward and Nathan Iniguez, Christian Larkins III and Fayella Jane Paris. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter Edward Steuart Jr., siblings Bud and Nada Gibson and son Gary Frost. She was a member of the Church of God 7th Day.Food and refreshments at 12:30pm. Service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Crossroad Christian Church 5501 Dewey Dr., Fair Oaks, CA 95628 at 1:30pm.
