Lee, Jewel E.'s Obituary
Jewel Erma Jean Lee was born on March 7, 1928, in Coyle, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Elvira Williams.
The Williams family moved to Bakersfield, California in October, 1936. Jewel attended local schools, and graduated high school, then Bakersfield High.
She married Leon, on September 13,1947 and to this union six (6) children were born.
Jewel worked briefly at McClellan field, but her heart was in the activities of her children.
She worked as Yard Duty Attendant and drove the school bus. She was scorekeeper for Grant little league games for many years, while her husband coached.
Jewel was a Founding member of The Church of the Living God. Leon and other church members built the church which was located on South Avenue.
She was able to travel near and far to see the world. family, and of course, many, many baseball games.
Jewel bestowed selfless acts of love to her family. Her patience and determination kept calm in the storms, and quiet in the noise.
She is preceded in death by her parents, seven (7) brothers, two (2) sisters, her beloved husband, Leon SR, son Tommy and son-in-law, Pastor Anthony Patton.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, sister Leona Robbins, brothers, Leon, Cecil, Buddy and Johnny.
Children: Leron (Vicquie), Pat (Larry), Leon Jr. (Pam), Milton (Delia) and Lori.
Grandchildren: Ronn, Kimberly, Vivian, Juliet, Derrek, Brian, Israya, Felicia and Clinton Great grandchildren: Myric, Mykhel, Dominique, Ted, Tevin, Jada, Dylan, Lyric, Sojourner, Ayanna, Xavier, Alex, Marcus, Chloe, Arianna, Clinton Jr., and Bella
Great Grandchildren: Elias and Namaya She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and family friends.
