Jess Leroy Green's Obituary
GREEN, Jess Leroy 77, of North Highlands CA, passed away on the evening of Dec/ 5, 2013 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. Jess ‘Leroy’ was born in the town of Turlock, CA on November 2, 1936. He was the second child of Holly Irene Green and Jess Green. Jess worked at the Southern Pacific Railroad for 34 years, he enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing & gold dredging. Jess was talented & skilled machinist & had a keen ability to create, make & invent a variety of things. He was always working in his shop. Jess was a great friend & mentor who spent his time helping family & friends and teaching. He was proceeded in death by his parents Jess & Holly Green, by brothers Lloyd Green & Ronald Green Sr. Jess was survived by Betty Green his Loving wife of 54 years, his Children Donna Cox & husband Randy Cox, Steven Green, Jerry Green, close nephew Ronald Green Jr., Grandchildren Kristin Troyer & husband Mark Troyer, Michael Green, Ashlee Green, Natalie Cox, and Great-Granddaughter Nicole Abrigo, his siblings June Green, Peggy Davis, David Green, James Green and many other close family members & friends. Services will be held in Rio Linda at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 10th at LifePointe Church of the Nazarene: 7200 Rio Linda Blvd., Rio Linda, CA 95673. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choosing.
