Jesalyn Leanne Baker's Obituary
Jesalyn Leanne Baker, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on
April 21, 2023, due to health complications. Born on March 13, 1969, in Oakland,
California, to her loving parents, James G and Rosemary Baker, Jesalyn spent her
teen years in Quincy, California, where she created many memories.
Jesalyn's commitment to service led her to enlist in the United States Navy, where she
served as an Aviation Electronics Technician from 1992 to 1996. Her dedication and
pursuit of excellence earned her an Honorable Discharge, as well as accolades such
as the Navy Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Navy ‘E"
Ribbon. Jesalyn's contributions to her country serve as a testament to her courage
and commitment.
Following her Honorable Discharge from the Navy, Jesalyn pursued a career as a
computer technician. Her versatile skills and strong work ethic allowed her to thrive in
various positions at renowned companies including Apple Co, Costco Wholesale,
Macy's, UPS, and Wells Fargo Bank. Jesalyn's professionalism and kindness left an
enduring impression on her colleagues and clients alike.
Jesalyn found joy in cooking for her family and friends. She delighted in preparing
delicious meals for family gatherings and social events, sharing her culinary passion
with those she held dear. Jesalyn's warm smile, boundless compassion, and
generous spirit made her an memorable presence in the lives of her loved ones.
Throughout her life, and particularly in her later years, Jesalyn brought joy and
support to her family, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. She is survived by her
father, James G Baker; her mother, Rosemary Baker; her sister, Rondalynne
McClintock; and her brother, James Watson. Jesalyn's passing is mourned by her five
nieces and four nephews, including Talia Dotson, Henry Dotson, Bo Watson, JR
Watson, James Watson, Hope Watson, Antanaya Watson, and Rose Watson. The void
left by her presence will be deeply felt by all who loved her.

behind. Her dedication to her family, service to her country, and her professional
