Who Did he leave Behind: Eunice Ewell ex-spouse, Daughter Gia (proceeded in death) , Grandson Eric and Granddaughter in law Venessa, Great Granddaughter Nevaeh and Great Grandson Braylon. Son Gregory and wife Donna. Grandson Kenneth and Joshua Granddaughters Kaysha and Kyra, Great Grands, Niyorah, YeMaya, O’Ryan and Jah’riyah as well and many nieces, nephews cousins and close friends.
Jeff was born in Starkville, Mississippi and relocated to East Saint Louis, Illinois where his family joined St Paul Baptist church. He had total of 15 brothers and sisters, he was the youngest. He attended East St Louis Lincoln High School and then joined the Airforce at age 17. He met his wife Eunice while he was based in Wichita. While in the military he traveled to such locations as, Europe, Korea, Asia and Greenland. He was medically discharged from the Airforce due to a medical condition. Jeff, Eunice and Gia moved to Norther California where his son Gregory was born. He bought a home in Oakland and retired in Sacramento. He retired as a computer analyst/data entry processor for the Public Schools.
He loved sports such as football, basketball, softball, volleyball, Skiing and bowling. He had season tickets to the Oakland Raiders and loved to follow the Sacramento Kings and the Bay area Warriors.
Family Vacations were really importation to Jeff they included places like Tahoe, Yosemite, Los Angeles, Mississippi, as well as other family locations
The holidays were always fun and filled with Gia’s good cooking. One of his favorite dishes was her Gumbo. He also, loved to add hot sauce to all of his dishes. Each morning would start with a fresh cup of coffee made in the Peculator and a cinnamon roll. Two of his favorite restaurants were Golden Coral and Sizzler.
Jeff was a very giving person and also remembered our birthdays and would be sure to send us a card with some cash in it. He also ordered the best chocolate candies for Christmas. He uses to get a kick out of his son eating the entire bag.
Past time- Jeff would post and like on Facebook and be sure to leave a message at 2am in the morning.
He would drive Greg’s covert in style with his gloves and cigar. Once he drove it to Riverside and back in his late 70’s
He played Blackjack and Poker and was very good at it.
