Jay Duane Heiman's Obituary
We are sad to announce the passing of Jay Duane Heiman who passed away on March 30, 2025.
Born August 8, 1950 at US Air Force Hospital in Spokane, Washington to David Edgell Heiman and Maryllen Maxine Myers.
Jay spent his school years in Sacramento, CA then enlisted in the Army. After serving with honor in Vietnam, Jay returned to Sacramento, eventually graduating from Sacramento State University with a BA in Civil Engineering. After graduation, Jay worked for the California Department of Water Resources before moving his family to Bodega Bay. In Bodega Bay, Jay ran a 710 acre working Ranch, served as a volunteer firefighter, member of the Merchants Association, Head of the Fire Board, and was active in local politics. Jay and his family returned to Sacramento where he worked in Engineering for many years before retiring at age 70.
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Marcy Joan Heiman. His son, Wade Trent Heiman. Daughter Jamie Lynn Heiman. 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Allison Marie Heiman.
