Jason Ezra Worth's Obituary
Jason Worth was born on July 27th, 2004 to Tabitha and Shawn Worth, and made his family's world a little bit brighter that day.
He came into this world as a born brother, with an older sister of 3 years who was waiting to receive him. And Jason must have loved being a sibling, as he truly made himself a brother to everyone around him. He was good at being a brother. Which meant he was fast with his comebacks, and always picked on his loved ones. And it was at times impossible to keep him out of your things, much to the misfortune of his parents and sister.
But it wasn't just his friends and families stuff he was always in, it was the world's. That kid gathered rocks, sticks, leaves, scrap metal, stickers, and anything he could get ahold of to stick in his pockets. Things that normally went unnoticed. Jason had a way of seeing and enjoying those small things.
Moreso, everywhere he was he left signs of himself. Usually this came in the form of picking and chipping off paint, carving into wood, ripping and snapping whatever he had in his hands in half. But the change he brought was also inventive, and he created some amazing things along with the destruction. Whether he turned an old bike chain into a keychain, or built himself a fort out of his Dads scrap materials, he was always changing what was around him. When he was awake he never seemed to stop moving and fidgeting.
Maybe that's why when he slept, he slept so heavily. He was a proficient napper, and waking him up took forever. Seemed to have such focus with sleep it was hard to pull him out of it. Actually, everything he loved he was ardent about. Style, his hobbies, his projects, and his people.
Being a natural brother also meant he sincerely loved and admired those around him. Even if he refused to admit it. As his Mom will attest, he gave the finest quality hugs and was the most caring person. Being such an affectionate person, possessions nor time were more important than those he loved. And he would give both out freely to anyone who was in want or need. That is how he became family to most during his 19 years. And on November 2nd, 2023, our world got much dimmer when we all lost him.
Although he was alone when he passed, we all know there were so many that would've been by his side in an instant if given the chance.
At this time we are still in the process of arranging a celebration of life for Jason. It will be held at his parents home in Elverta, and more details will be announced soon. All who cared for him will be welcome. This service will not focus on his end, but instead center on how he lived and the things he loved.
