Janis Phulps June 16, 1932 – December 17, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janis Phulps, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a beacon of creativity and love. Janis peacefully departed this world on December 17, 2024, in Sacramento, California.
Born on June 16, 1932, in Maysville, Oklahoma, Janis was one of seven siblings—six girls and one boy. She is survived by her brother, Jerry, who will fondly remember their lifelong bond.
Janis had an immense passion for the arts. She loved drawing and sketching, and she expressed herself beautifully through her poems and songs. Her writings were especially treasured by her six grandchildren, who were the frequent recipients of her heartfelt creations. Her love extended to her eight great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and inspiration.
Janis was preceded in death by her cherished husband Louis, two beloved daughters, Debbie and Donna, and her parents Simone and Bertha and grandson, Glenn.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she cherished her church family deeply. Janis was a devoted member of Rocklin Baptist Church for 25 years, where she found community, solace, and joy.
Janis's legacy is one of creativity, love, and devotion to her family and faith. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Cathy (Gary), grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to celebrate her life at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF ROCKLIN on January 18, 2025 at 11:00 am .
