Janet May Davis' Obituary
Janet May (Albers) Davis, 83, gained her Angel wings on Thursday, September 2, 2021. She was born on July 15, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio and was married for 60 years to Ronald Lee Davis of Harrison, Ohio. They have one daughter, Minetta (Davis) Minnick of Columbus, Ohio.
Janet loved to bowl and square dance in her younger years. She loved beautiful things, from jewelry to décor, and had a particular love of hummingbirds, lambs, strawberry themed items, African Violets, Santa’s, babies, children, and animals. She was an avid reader and loved to get lost in the stories. She also loved taking various craft and spiritual classes over the years with her daughter.
Janet was a devoted mother and wife who was proud of her husband and daughter. She was loving, kind, and she wore her heart on her sleeve. She loved her home and her family. They were everything to her. She is missed already.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, and stepfather, Esther and Arch Weiskittel; father, Clarence Albers; Aunt and Uncle, Ruth and Gustave (Nick) Pflanzer; grandparents, Lucretia (Theresa) and Joseph Albers; and several other family members.
In addition to her husband, Ronald (Ron) Lee Davis; and daughter, Minetta Minnick; she is survived by her half-sister, Ruth Stevenson and her husband, Steve; cousin, Karen Michaud; several nieces and nephews; and additional family members. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make contributions to: https://www.roomtoread.org/ and choose either the Literacy Program or the Girls Education Program.
There will be no service. Her ashes will be spread in a few areas that she loved. Say a prayer, make a wish, send kind thoughts, and hug those you love. We thank those who have reached out already. Your kind words mean so much and help us during this difficult time.
