Jackie Langston's Obituary
Jackie Langston went to heaven on January 7, 2012 after a difficult battle with two fatal brain injuries, which resulted from a terrible fall August 15, 2011. Jackie was born April 30, 1932 in Fulton County, Arkansas. She graduated from Viola High School in Arkansas in 1950. Jackie leaves behind her loving husband of 62 years, Bob Langston, her daughter Karen Presley (Randy), two granddaughters, Dana and Theresa, one step grandson, Jensen Presley and five great grandchildren, Alexia, Christian, Ashley, Briston and Chloe. She also leaves behind her brother Leon Slade (Faye). She was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy and Ronnie Langston, one step grandson, John Presley, sister Geraldine Bailey, brother Bill Slade and parents Ruth and Arthur Slade.Jackie and Bob married on December 25, 1949 at the tender age of 17. During their 62 years together they both enjoyed traveling in their motor home all over the United States, Canada and Mexico. There were also many camping trips to West Point, Dillions Beach and Oroville. The covered spare tire on the motor home boldly displayed “To old to work, to young to die. Grandma and Grandpa are going bye bye.” This attracted much attention during their travels.Jackie was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt and friend. Family and friends meant the world to Jackie. She loved family reunions, sitting around the campfire, and just being happy visiting with all whom she loved. Once Jackie made a friend, she had a friend for life and thought of them just like family.Jackie will be sorely missed by many. One more time our family chain is broken, but one by one it will be linked again.Visitation will be January 12, 2012 from 4:00-8:00pm and funeral services on January 13, 2012 at 2:00pm at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes. All are invited. In lieu of flowers please donate to Bristol Hospice 2140 Professional Dr. Ste. 210, Roseville, CA 95661.
