Herman August Schindler's Obituary
Herman A. Schindler passed away July 21, 2012, following problems with a neck fracture. He was born November 6, 1928 in Kenedy, Texas to Moritz and Clara Paulilne (Schweihs) Schindler. In 1948, we was emploed by PG&E he then enlisted in the Army and served in Korea. After discharge he returned to PG&E, and was in Line Construction, retiring in 1987.He moved to Newcastle, CA where he enjoyed farming, gardening, working in his shop and his barn cats. He is survived by his wife Helen (Bruno) and sister Ann Kawalek of Riverside, CA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Louis Schindler II, Stephanie Schindler, Katherine Whipple, Marily Loveless, Barbara McCoy, Joe Kawalek and Michael Kawalek. Also survived by half siblings, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He was a special Uncle to Jack and Gena Powell and Gary and Shirley Reynolds. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Louis and Henry and sister Lela Shinault.Memorial Services and Inurnment will be held, Monday, July 30, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95838
