SMITH, HAROLD MONROE, entered into rest Wednesday, July 23, 2003 age 70. A native of Cherry Valley, Arkansas born Wednesday, September 21, 1932 and a resident of Rio Linda for 30 years. Beloved father of Cheryl Carter, Virginia Atchison, Harold Smith, Tina Sweeney and Raymond Smith. Loving brother of Ellen Neely, Violet Ray and Doris Durham. Dear grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both parents J.O. Smith and Lorena Smith Green. He was a member of the Senior Gleaners and a volunteer member of the Marina California Fire Dept.. He was a proud Navy veteran who served during the Korean Conflict on the USS Toledo. He was an avid gardener. The family invites you to attend a visitation 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 29, 2003 and a funeral service 10:00 am Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes 4701 Marysville Blvd. Sacto., CA. 922-5833. Interment will follow with Naval Honors at Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
