Gracie Mozell Asher's Obituary
Gracie Mozell “NUNN” ASHER (September 24, 1939 – November 29, 2024)
Gracie Mozell Asher, also known as Zell, entered into rest on November 29, 2024. Gracie was born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, however, was a native of Sacramento for 60 years. Gracie’s life was filled with love, joy and a deep devotion to God and her family. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband and soulmate, Jerry David Asher. Their love was a testament to their deep and enduring bond. Together they shared many common loves such as dancing, coaching baseball/softball, camping and a love for the Lord. Gracie was an exceptional mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who always demonstrated unconditional love and support for her family.
She is survived by her children Pamela Watkins, David Asher, William (Bill) Asher, Kelly Allen, 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Jerry Asher, parents James Paul Nunn and Viola Nunn, In-laws William (Cleo) Asher and Leola Neblett, and grandsons Larry Watkins II and William Asher.
Her warmth, kindness, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Gracie’s legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
Services will be at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes on Friday, December 20, 2024, beginning at 1:00PM, followed by a graveside service. Reception to follow at the American Legion Hall 6700 8th Street, Rio Linda.
