Gia Williams-Davis' Obituary
Gia Christine Williams-Davis peacefully transitioned from this life November 17, 2018 while surrounded by family and close friends after a two year battle with cancer. Gia was born February 7, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas, but from age two lived all her life in California. After obtaining a bachelors degree in business administration, Gia worked in corporate and education settings before being drawn to the field of nursing where she devoted more than 25 years of her life focused on serving others. She cared for patients in a broad range of health areas including neonatal at Mercy General, psychiatric at Heritage Oaks Hospital, hospice home care, and most recently, Dignity Urgent Care at Woodland Clinic. Gia was a deeply compassionate, loyal, strong-willed woman, and was always up for shopping, travel, and fun. She had a passion for decorating with Oriental furniture, art, colors, designs; and collecting Egyptian and East Asian deities. She had a green thumb when it came to decorative indoor and patio plants. She successfully grew huge beautiful plants that reached the ceiling. Gia enjoyed cooking, experimenting with with numerous spices creating delicious meals that her family loved. Left to mourn are parents Eunice Ewell of Wichita, KS and Jefferson Williams of Sacramento, CA, a son, Eric Davis, of Sacramento, CA, a brother, Gregory Williams of Oakland, CA, granddaughter Nevaeh Simone Apodaca of Sacramento, CA. Gia will be dearly missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, former coworkers and friends. There will be a memorial Celebration of Life at a future date.
