Geneva Verly Marie Sapp's Obituary
Geneva Verly Marie (White) Sapp passed away on September 6th, 2020. She was born December 28th, 1924 to Guster and Helen White in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the third of eleven children. She is preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings. She married Thomas Paschal on December 21st, 1940 and had a daughter, Shirley. Thomas died in the service on his way home from India on January 23rd, 1946. On September 5th, 1950 she married Sanford Sapp and they had five children. Geneva was very proud to be a wife and mother; she loved cooking for her family and friends. Her biggest pleasure was her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. They loved her witty little verses. She lived in Seaside, California, then Oakhurst California the latter part of her life. She lived the last five years in Lodi, California with Shirley, Sanford, Raheal, Mamie and Erik caring for her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Sanford on October 25th, 1993, her daughter Lois Serrano, her daughter Joyce Paschal. She is survived by her children Shirley Bender (Tom, Bradford, Debbie, Samantha, Alibrando), Roy Sapp (Aimee, Roy Jr. Amanda, Andrea, Anjelica), Sanford Sapp Jr., wife Rachel (Adam), Vicki Moldenhauer, Nick (Mamie, Patrick), 22 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
There will not be a chapel service due to Covid-19. There will be a graveside service for the family at San Carlos Cemetery at a date to be announced.
