Gary Junior Hart's Obituary
Gary Junior Hart, a beloved husband, father and papa, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025 at the age of 80. He was born in Escalon, CA on May 18,1944. His family finally settled in the Rio Linda area.
Gary served in the Navy for four years during his youth on the USS Repose, a Haven Class Hospital Ship, enabling him to visit locations such as Japan, Hong Kong and Vietnam. Subsequently, he spent 30 years at McClellan Air Force Base as a master sheet metal fabricator where he made many lifelong friends who he camped, fished, clammed, crabbed, golfed and played cards with for decades.
Over the years, he became known for his building, creativity and problem-solving skills. These traits made him very popular with his family and friends as he was often sought after for advice, help and “projects”. He was a person who was totally dependable - those close to him knew that if anything was needed, he would be there with no questions asked. He was a self-described “man of few words” but always had a joke or riddle ready when needed, to cheer up the room.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Frances, whom he adored above all else, his sister, Barbara, his children, Deanna and Gary Jr., and his grandchildren Ashley, Jeremy, Shelby, Casey and Riley. He dearly loved his family with all of his hart.
He was preceded in death by his parents Iral and Ella and his siblings Jerry, Kay and Caroline.
He lived a full, happy life and will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
