Frederika "Fredy" Sullivan's Obituary
Frederika “Fredy” Sullivan (Schneider) passed away January 23, 2016 after a 3 year battle with cancer, a battle she fought to the very end. Our beloved purple haired wife, mother and Oma.
Fredy was born December 30,1953 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She was a graduate of the Class of 1971 at Mt. Diablo High School in Concord, CA. On October 8, 1972, she married Doug Sullivan in Concord and a few years later, they moved to Sacramento, where they shared 43 years of marriage. In addition to her devoted husband, Fredy is survived by her cherished daughters, Marija (Dan) Cerelli and Meghan Sullivan. The true apples of her eye were her granddaughters, her Sweet Pea Sophia and Munchkin Leilani. She was also very lucky to have so many friends that were more like family. Fredy’s love of her family was beyond compare.
Fredy worked at Golden Empire Elementary School for over 20 years, where she the “lunch lady” to generations of kids. In addition, she worked as a hair stylist at JC Penney for many years and most recently at Chevuex Styling Salon. Places where many started as friends and soon became more like family.
The family would like to take this time to thank everyone for their love and support over the last 3 years. It was amazing to see how much Fredy was loved by all and for that we are forever grateful.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
