Frederick Wayne Stumpf's Obituary
Fred Wayne Stumpf, born October 10th, 1940, passed away at home on October 9th, 2013. Born in Flushing, NY, he moved to Idaho where he attended Idaho State University and earned a B.S. in Business. He was a Union Pacific Railroad engineer before going into sales, spending his last 10 years with Reliable Parts, a Canadian firm.
After retirement, he became a docent at the California State Railroad Museum. He was an avid football and basketball fan, and enjoyed boating and fishing. With his long time partner, Nancy he traveled and hoped to retire on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Mr. Stumpf is survived by two sons, Galen Wayne Stumpf of Utah, and Brian J. Hansen, and his wife, April Hass, of California, one daughter, Lisa A. Miller of California; and his partner Nancy Latta. He is also survived by one brother, Robert
Weber of Florida. He was pre-deceased by his parents, one sister, and a brother.
Mr. Stumpf was an amiable man striking up conversations with anyone. He took great pride in his children and was a loyal and supportive friend to many. He adored, and was adored by, his five cats. A long time supporter of Special Olympics, donations may be made in his name to Special Olympics Northern California.
