Frederick W. Adams' Obituary
Frederick "Fred" W. Adams, 89, passed away peacefully in Sacramento, CA on Monday, July 25, 2022. He was born on May 9, 1933 in Harrisburg, PA, but lived most of his life in the Sacramento area. After serving in the Army, Fred moved from San Francisco to Sacramento where he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad and retired after 32 years' of service.
He is preceded in death by his daughters Beverly Williamson (Richard) of Springfield, PA and Susan Williamson (John) of Selbyville, DE, his son Fritzi Adams of Springfield, PA and stepdaughter Ronna Taylor of Elk Grove, CA. Survivors include his wife Lee Adams of Sacramento, CA, his son James Adams of Springfield, PA, his daughter Michele Williams (Larry) of West Haven, UT, and stepchildren Ron Taylor (Marcia) of Kihei, HI, Shelley Barr (Terry) of Cantonment, FL, Gina Taylor of Sacramento, CA and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Fred was a very giving and caring person who always looked out for his family. He was a man of few words, but showed his love through his actions - always giving more than he ever expected in return.
He loved to play Bingo and the Lottery. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, horseshoes, playing cards, and shooting hoops in his younger years.
Fred will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, 8 Aug, 1:00 PM, at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95838.
