Fred W. Martinez's Obituary
Fred Martinez, loving husband, father, grandfather & brother entered into rest Sunday, June 3, 2012 in Oroville, CA. Fred was born in Durango, Colorado 81 years ago and migrated with parents Ruby & Joaquin Martinez in 1942. He retired from Safeway bakery after many years of service. Fred is survived by his children Christy Gwin, Manuel Gwin, Lani Gwin, Gene Martinez, Alice Martinez, Marty Martinez and Jimmy Martinez, siblings, Jenny Martinez, Isabel Zenahlik, Toby Martinez and Noami Trengali. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Esther Martinez, daughter Lehua “Lou” Mehalopoulos and his siblings Joe and Lenny Martinez. Friends and family are welcome for visitation, Thursday, June 7, 2012, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service, Friday, June 8, 2012 at 1:00 pm both held at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd, Sacramento, CA Interment Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
