Frank C. Taggart's Obituary
TAGGART, FRANK C.Passed away peacefully at home in Sacramento May 7, 2012 surrounded by family. He was born November 27, 1933 in Portland, Oregon and raised in Sacramento. He was a graduate of Sacramento Senior High School in 1951 and attended Sacramento Junior College and after a U.S. Army tour in Berlin, Germany attended Sacramento State College. He was preceded in death by his parents Alice and Beverley Taggart, his sister Georgia Mae Chertorisky, son David Taggart and daughter-in-law Donna Taggart.He is survived by his wife of 57 years Ernestine (Tina) and son Donald of Sacramento, daughter Marilyn Potter (Craig) of Elk Grove and grandchildren Joey, Matt and Danielle Rau and Kenny Taggart. He had a combined 40 year career in elections as a vendor and county elections official.He is a Past President of East Stockton Kiwanis Club. He is an Eagle Boy Scout and an active scouter for over 69 years including serving at Fort Ord, Berlin, Germany, Sacramento and Elk Grove. He is a long time member of Provident-Three Pillars Lodge of Masons and the Sacramento Scottish Rite Bodies and a member of First Baptist Church of Elk Grove. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Elk Grove, 8939 East Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove, CA. Remembrances may be made to the Golden Empire Council Boy Scouts of America, P.O. Box 13558, Sacramento, CA 95853 or a charity of your choice.
