Frank Romano's Obituary
ROMANO, Frank Passed away December 4, 2010 at home in the loving arms of his wife, Cookie, with Angela and Thom holding his hands. Born September 23, 1921, a native of San Jose, California. Frank has touched many lives in his 89 years with his warmth, laughter and his helping ways. His love was always unconditional. He is survived by his wife Arletta (Cookie), of 31 years; son Frank R. Romano; daughter at heart Angela Spinella; and adopted son Richard Sherman. He is also survived by his sister Anna Yelkey, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, close friends and everyone that knew him as the ”Candyman”. Frank always had that pocket full of Red Hots for everyone. He was preceded in death by brother Dominic Romano, sister Josephine Romano, and step son Robert L. James Jr. Frank had a sewer and plumbing business for approximately 50 years. I wish to thank with all my heart Angela and Thommy for the loving care they gave ”Papa” 24 hours a day for the last month of his life. Also Bristol Hospice for their wonderful support and love. A special thanks to Dr. Don Zacharias and staff for over 20 years of friendship and service. The family invites friends to attend a casual dressed visitation Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 4:00-8:00pm and a funeral service Friday, December 10, 2010 at 1:00pm at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento.
