Finis Clark Way's Obituary
WAY, FINIS C., born 10/15/21 in Oklahoma and completed his final assignment after yet another courageous battle on 7/19/03 in Sacramento, CA. He was a career soldier serving 20 years with the United States Army retiring to Sacramento in 1963 from the Avaition School at Ft. Rucker, AL and again in 1976 from Civil Service. He was a combat wounded veteran of WWII and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the DAVâs Commanderâs Club. His loving wife of 55 years, Quetha, and 7 brothers and 2 sisters preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters Nancy Bragg and Ginny Mercer (Terry), grandsons Beau Bragg (Tammy) and Terry Mercer and a granddaughter Kelli Everett (Benjamin). He also leaves 4 beautiful great granddaughters and 3 handsome great grandsons. This old soldier did not die, he simply faded away. Friends are invited to attend a visitation 4:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, 7/24/03 and funeral services 10:00am Friday, 7/25/03 at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes 4701 Marysville Blvd. Sacto., CA. 922-5833. Interment to follow at Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
