Fabian Gallegos Acosta's Obituary
Fabian Gallegos Acosta was called home at 4:32 A.M. on February 25, 2022. A beloved husband, son, brother, Godfather, uncle, and friend; Fabian will be forever missed. Fabian was dedicated and determined with all that he did in life; always available to his family as well as friends whenever he was in need.
Fabian was born June 26, 1969 to Rito & Flora Acosta, and was the youngest of 8 children. He graduated high school in 1987 with the hopes of pursuing a career in graphic design. In 1989, Fabian was involved in a car accident which left him with a spinal cord injury. Although he now had trouble walking, he did not let that stop him from living life. Fabian soon found a passion for wheelchair sports, and actively played and supported wheelchair basketball, tennis, and softball up until the time of his passing. Fabian was also a man very dedicated to his Catholic faith, and was extremely active within Recollections in Christianity.
In 2004, Fabian met Tanya, whom he wed on May 14, 2016. During this time, Fabian was diagnosed with end stage renal disease and began dialysis on February 12, 2016 while awaiting a kidney transplant. Once again faced with extreme challenges, Fabian took them in stride, always doing his best to remain positive and optimistic until his last breath.
Our lives are forever changed without you Fabian, we will love you and honor your memory forever. Your love and dedication to those around you will forever resonate within everyone's lives you've touched; for this, we thank you.
May you rest in eternal peace my love. Just as we promised each other, we never gave up.
