Very blessed to say I was able to grow up with my great grandmother 💕 I will cherish every moment I was given with her. I know your watching down on us, and I hope you know you touched many of us in so many different ways. I love you great grandma pp and miss you so dearly.
There are many things that will always remind me of grandmaâ?¦the smell of White Diamonds perfume, clip on earrings, silk scarfs, sweater sets, Estee Lauder and Avon. She was a lady until the very end. It didnâ??t matter what time of day or night you showed up at her door, she always looked put together and had a big smile on her face. Even when she was sick she would smile when you did her hair, nails and makeup. She always had candy bowls out in her home for her grandkids which she loved dearly. I especially remember the big peanut shaped marshmallows that I never ate and poking my finger into the bottom of the Seeâ??s candy before I picked one. I will miss her stories of Turtle Lake and the big tornado that took off the barn roof and how she loved to stamp down the grain in the silo. I will never forget the way she drove and how grandpa used to slide around in the passenger seat when she made rapid turns and stops. I can picture the both of them sitting in lawn chairs watching us play softball. I am confident that grandpa saved a place for her in the buffet line in heaven and that she is beside him right now, dressed to the nines and nagging him for how much he put on his plate. Love you grandma. – Mary
