Ernest Dean McGuire's Obituary
Born in Lenna, OK. to parents Alva and Jessie McGuire. He was the 5th of 7 children. Survived by his sister Bette Handcock. Graduated from Riverdale Highschool. Served 4 years in the Air Force, after which he came to Sacramento, and ultimately settled in the Rio Linda area for many years. His wife Bernice, of 48 years, pre-deceased him in 2016. He proudly served as a Deputy Sheriff for Sac. County for 30 years and retired in 1991. He loved to tell jokes and make people smile. He was a very kind and caring person to all. He is survived by his only child Marlene Coatney, son-in-law Charles, 2 grandchildren Jennifer Birkby and Kyle Coatney, 2 great-grandchildren Jake and Hailey. He will be missed so very much. May he rest in peace with his loving companion, his dog Bo. Services will be held Sat. April 8th at 1:00pm at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes. 4701 Marysville Blvd. Sacramento, CA. 95838, and a viewing Fri. April 7th from 4-8pm.
