ROGERS, ENGLAND LOUIS II, entered into rest Saturday, February 18, 2006 age 81. A native of Kansas City, Missouri born Sunday, July 6, 1924 and a resident of the Sacramento area for the past 70 years. Devoted father of daughters, Maxine L. Rogers of Antelope, CA, Gwen Rogers-Smith of Berkeley, CA and Jan Rogers of Antelope, CA also sons, England L. Rogers III of Brentwood, TN and Jay W. Rogers ofSacramento, CA . He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Hervey E. Rogers of Richmond, CA and Mabel Rogers of Texas . He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Virginia P. Rogers, both parents England L. Rogers I and Gladys (Baldwin ), sisters Lettie Mae Rogers and Thelma Beard and a granddaughter Shermelle Y. Hill. He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in No.Highlands . First and foremost loved his wife and children unconditionally. He and Virginia were always part of the community and truly believed in lending a helping hand. was a quiet and thoughtful man who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone he met. The family invites you to attend a visitation 4:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes 4701 Marysville Blvd. Sacto., CA 922-5833 and a funeral service 11:00am March 8, 2006 at New Testament Baptist Church 6746 34th Street North Highlands, CA. Interment to follow with Military Honors at Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
