Elinor Dare Miller's Obituary
Elinor Dare Miller left this earthly home to be with our Lord in heaven on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the age of 83. Her family was at her bedside at Kaiser Hospital in Roseville, California when she peacefully slipped away.
Elinor was born on June 25, 1935, at Alameda County Hospital, in Oakland, California to Benjamine Romaine and Gladys Edwards. She lived a quiet life in North Highlands with daughter Karen and son-in-law Frank for the past 23 years.
She was an active member of Liberty Towers, Church of the Nazarene for many years. She assisted with the children’s ministry, the Caravans and the Vacation Bible School.
Her interests included: spending time with her family, church activities, crocheting, and reading her bible. She devoted much of her time and energy to her family and the church.
She is survived by her daughters Debbie Chavez and Karen Griffin; her sons David and Carl Miller; son-in-law Frank (Karen); daughters-in-law Teresa (David) and Jessica (Ben). She has 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her brother Leslie Romaine and her sister Roberta Dykes; as well as her children Benjamin Miller, Bobby Miller and Dawn Johnson.
Words that best describe her are: gentle, loving, selfless, compassionate, loyal, generous, kind, helpful, joyful, and reverent. These traits will be her legacy to her family for generations to come.
Elinor is loved by many and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
