In the late 1970s and early 80s, I worked with Edwina to plan film programs for the Socialist Community School in Los Angeles. It was a difficult time personally in my life, and I'll always remember how Edwina's great kindness helped me to find my way. I feel honored to have experienced her friendship, and remember her with gratitude and care
I knew Edwina when we were both in our 20’s. She was my neighbor. I remember going to movies with her and then discussing them with her in her kitchen. She painted a garden of Eden scene on her bathroom wall. She was a strong, lovely woman.
