Eddie P. McZeek's Obituary
Eddie P. McZeek known to his friends and family as Bill was born on August 18, 1925 in Mobile, AL to the late Emeline Moody and Leo Leslie McZeek. He is survived by his beloved wife, Wesserlean Smith of Pensacola, FL; and of the union to his second wife, Mary Nevada Orange, his 10 children; Gwendolyn Campbell (Charles), Vincent McZeek (Darling), Mary Washington (Billy), Charles McZeek (Valerie), Emma McZeek, William McZeek, Sharon McZeek, Teresa Tunstall (James) and Michael McZeek He is also survived by step daughter Rose Marie Orange Patterson (Sam), and a host of grand and great grandchildren and an abundance of relatives and friends. Preceding him in death are siblings Dorothy Laury, Blanch Sanford, and Leslie McZeek, daughter Antoinette Luscious, Son Ernest McZeek, Stepsons
James and frank Orange.
Bill gave his life to the Lord at a very young age, after graduation from Dunbar High School; he went to work at Brookley field Air Service until he was drafted into the Navy to serve in WWII.
After the war he graduated from Tuskegee Institute and was reinstated to Brookley Air Field Service in 1963. In 1966 Bill relocated to Sacramento, due to the closure of Brookley Field Air Service. He was transferred to McClellan AFB until his retirement.
While resting peacefully on October 1, 2014 he was called home to be with the Lord at age 89 from complications of diabetes.
