Earl Dennis Rogers Sr. was born February 9, 1945, in Salt Lake City, Utah and was called home on January 26, 2025, in Sacramento, California. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Adell Rogers, Theral Rogers and Stan Rogers, so Earl Dennis Rogers Jr. and his late wife Valerie Rogers.
He quietly slipped away the morning of Sunday, January 26, 2025, in Sacramento, California after a long illness. He graduated from Granite High School in Salt Lake City, Utah (1964) and was employed as a Pipefitter and a union member of National Automatic Sprinkler Industry until he retired. In October 1964 he married Earline (Bonnie) Taylor and had two children. Earl had two additional sons. In September 1985, he married Valerie Jones, who had three children.
For over 30 years, Earl was a fixture at Hot August Nights in Reno, a classic car show. He was a dedicated Chevrolet owner, with a collection that included several SS Novas and Corvettes.
He is survived by his sister Donna Rogers (CA), daughter Lisa Rogers (CA), sons Ronald Montoya (UT), and Toby Waters (CA), stepchildren Michelle Aguilar (CA), Melissa Miller (UT), and Scott Miller (UT). He also has 18 grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
