Dorothy Lee White's Obituary
Dorothy Lee White was an only child born to Willie D. Johnson and Elouise Lewis on November 18, 1933 in the city of Oaklahoma City in the state of Oklahoma. She grew up on a farm in Oaklahoma City. She told many stories of what life was like growing up and how her grandmother (Mattie Lewis) taught her to read from the bible. Psalms 23 is what she would always quote to us. She was known for giving gifts, mostly hand crafted with her own hands. Like porcelain dolls, handmade jewelry and always knitting something, like scarves, mittens and much more. She was also known for her original oil paintings which will forever pass from generation to generations.
Growing up as an only child did not hold her back one bit. She was an outspoken woman and fearless. She worked for Todd shipping yard in Alameda, CA as an electrician for many years. To all whom she has left behind know that you come from a women of strength who did not walk in fear, intelligent women who did not settle and a confident women whom we are all blessed to have known.
