Dorothy A DeCuir's Obituary
Dorothy A. DeCuir March 27, 1929 – March 24,
2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the
passing of Dorothy A. DeCuir, just three days shy
of her 96th birthday. Born in Susanville, California,
on March 27, 1929, Dorothy graced the world with
her charm, kindness, and radiant presence that
truly lit up every room she entered.
Dorothy shared a remarkable 48 years of
marriage with her beloved husband, Charles A.
DeCuir, Sr., building a life filled with love and
devotion. Together, they raised three children,
Charles A. DeCuir, Jr. (age 74) and his wife, Donna DeCuir; Denise B. Keeler (age 67)
and her husband, Brian Keeler; and Richard DeCuir (age 72), to whom she dedicated
her life.
Dorothy also leaves behind five grandchildren: Nicole, Danisha, Eric, Charles III, and
Mary; six great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Emma, Luca, Charlotte, Ethan, and Alice; and
two great-great-grandchildren: Weston and Kanan.
As a mother and grandmother, Dorothy exemplified unwavering care and commitment,
working part-time so she could always be present when her children left for school and
when they returned home. Her selflessness, grace, and warmth were the cornerstone of
her family’s love.
Dorothy’s legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
great-great-grandchildren, their spouses, and all those who were fortunate enough to
know her. She will forever be remembered as a lady of charm, kindness, and a light that
illuminated the lives of those around her.
A private family service will be held to celebrate her incredible life. In lieu of flowers, the
family kindly requests donations to a charity of choice in Dorothy’s honor.
