Doris Adelle Jackson was born August, 11, 1926 and passed away on November 28, 2022 at the age of 96.
Doris was born in Coffeyville, Kansas. She is the 2nd child of Earl Sr. and Blanche Green. Doris had 6 siblings: Jerri, Theresa, Joan, Barbara, Earl, and Steven. She and her family moved to Sacramento, CA in 1944. She was the beloved wife of Nathaniel Jackson for 39 years until his passing away on December 24, 2002. She had two sons from a prior marriage, Stanley and Derek Harold.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Jerri Thompson and Barbara Green, and brother Earl Green Jr. She also suffered the loss of her two sons Stanley and Derek.
As a young woman, Doris was known for her artistic talent. But throughout her life, she would be described as feisty, spunky, direct, fiery, strong, meticulous, resilient, generous, a diva, and an avid Tiger Woods fan.
She will be remembered and dearly missed by her siblings: Theresa Allen, Joan White, and Stephen Green; sisters-in-law Inge Green and Kay Green; as well as dozens of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
