Doris Courtier's Obituary
COURTIER, Doris EllaEntered into rest on April 19, 2007 in Sacramento, CA at age 89. A native of Michigan, she was born on May 3, 1917 and was a resident of Sacramento, CA for 60 years. Doris resided at College Oak Nursing and Rehab for 30+ years after surgery to remove a brain tumor left her significantly handicapped, requiring special care. Her great sense of humor and uncanny ability to bring joy into the lives of others will be missed by those who knew her. Our thanks to those at College Oak who showed her much kindness and friendship. Preceded in death by her sister Maxine Fischer. She is survived by her brother Cecil Van De Bogart, her half brother Harry Metzgar, her 3 children Ann Jacobs, Cecil McClain, and David McClain, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend services on Friday, April 27, 2007 starting at 2:00 O’clock pm at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95838.
