Don Edward Ray Sr.

Don was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, the second son of Joseph and Margaret Ray who also had eight more children; Mackie, Jackie, Polly (Annette), Wayne, Mark, Joseph (Junbug) and Margaret. At the age of three years old Don became a Resident of Del Paso Heights, California and graduated from Grant Union High School, Class of 1976, followed by Boise, Idaho, Community College. Don along with his brothers, Ike, Wayne and Joseph, played sports in school and during the summer. The Ray brother's were very athletic and well known for Baseball and Football. Don became a Sanitation Engineer II, while working for City of Sacramento for over a decade. He married Elesia Marie Kelly and they had four children: Don Jr., Mario, Kasha' and Sharda'. Don's two sons Don Jr. and Mario, blessed him with five grandchildren: Dejana', Nevaeh, Maiyte', Kali and Mario Jr. Don's journey has ended on this earth but his legacy will continue to grow. Rest in peace Don we all love you.
Friends and Family are invited to a viewing at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes on the evening of July 21st, 2022 from 3-6 pm, and a Funeral Service on Friday July 22nd, 1:00 pm.
