Dino Joseph Vergolini's Obituary
Dino Joseph Vergolini (Mr. BBQ) was born on December 22, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan to proud parents Joseph and Mary Ann Vergolini (Scarchilli). He moved to Sacramento in High School and made his lifelong home here. He married the love of his life, Lisa Phillips in 1999 and they proceeded to live life to the fullest as owners of Texas West BBQ on Fulton Avenue and co-founders of the band 2-Lit 2-Quit. Dino and Lisa entertained and fed many Sacramentans. Dino was a golfer and an avid sports fan. He loved the Kings, Detroit Lions, Redwings and Tigers. Dino’s twinkling eyes and infectious smile made him an instant friend to everyone he met. Dino passed away on June 21 2018, surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dino is survived by his wife Lisa, brother Dana Vergolini (Deeanna), sister Darlene Fisher (John), nieces Christina, Gina, Melysha, Ashley, Sarah, Meghan and Kendall, extended family and many friends. A celebration of Dino’s life will be held at The Pavilion at Haggin Oaks Golf Course in Sacramento at 3 p.m. on June 28, 2018. In lieu of flowers, go enjoy a night out, attend a concert, have great meal, watch a sunset with someone you love.
