I miss you every day, Dee. Riding the shuttle is not the same without you. Some of us got to know one another because you greeted each and every one of us by name. You knew the names of our spouses, our children, our grandchildren, and our pets. I will always remember one of my first rides home with you when I was sitting right behind your driver's seat and you couldn't see me. You thought the bus was empty, so you cranked up the radio and took a small shortcut to head downtown for your next bus load of passengers. I finally spoke up and shocked you. I asked you to just drop me off where we were, but you insisted on driving me to my regular stop. That was so like you, Dee. It's no wonder you will never be forgotten and will live on in our hearts forever. Rest peacefully, Dee, and continue to watch over your beautiful family from above. God bless you and your loved ones.Bobbie
Our beloved Dee. You have been missed amongst your friends on the Natomas Shuttle. I miss your smile, your am/pm greetings and great conversations. You remembered me even when I moved and stopped using the shuttle. On day one when I returned, you were the only one to notice I'd been gone. Your Big smile and wanting to know where I'd been. You knew every person, their stop and their story. In loving memory you will always be in every heart, those of us honored to have connected with you.You even surprised me when you reached out while I was in Hawaii, through your weak voice I could still hear your smile. Where are you? You asked me. I, filled with tears was so grateful to hear your voice. You just wanted to let everyone know you were fighting to get back on your route. You missed all of us, you said on the call. Only You would care enough for others to do just that.Thank You family for sharing your precious angel Dee.May she be Resting in Peace. Prayers to you and our beautiful Dee.
I met Dee when she drove the Central line. Beautiful person, got to know her over the years and appreciate her. She will be missed
To the family of Delores "Dee" Villa,I rode the Natomas Flyer with Dee for 5 years to downtown and always arrived on time. She was a joy to talk to, always remembered my name. We shared stories of our childhood, and our grandchildren of which she loved with her whole heart. My condolences, and prayers are with you and for you because of the loss of such a sweet person. Know that you were loved, and that Dee is still watching and loving you. God bless, and keep you for Dee is right beside Him.June Hawkins-Brown
