Deborah Marlene Penick, 64, of Rio Linda, California, passed away on August 30, 2025, in Montgomery, Texas. She was born February 2, 1961, in Sacramento, California.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Lynn Penick; her sister, Kathleen Gayle Penick; nieces Joy Evans, Shannon Craddock, Heather Wattenbarger, and Michelle Smith; nephew Eric Penick; and her chosen family, the Whipple family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Dwight and Fredda Virdia Penick; her brother, Jeffery Wayne Penick; and her husband, Ronald Douglas Day.
Her beloved cat, Sassy, remained by her side until the end.
