David Wayne Reed's Obituary
David Wayne Reed, born July 19, 1960, in Sacramento, California and passed into his rest peacefully on February 9, 2025, in Sacramento after a brief illness.
David was a wonderful soul and a gifted musician. Playing the guitar from the age of 16, music took him all over the country performing in venues both large and small. David was never happier than he was with a guitar in his hand.
David was also an accomplished martial artist reaching the rank of 3rd degree black belt in Shaolin Wu Su and Tai Chi.
He is survived by his parents, Glenda and Bill Willbourn and also Jerry Reed, his brothers Daryl Reed and Jeff Reed, his stepsisters Mary Mathews, Debra Mathews and Eva Mathews, his children, Brandon Reed, Andrew Reed, Tamara Reed, Sara Powell, Adam Reed and Ashley Jordan, and his grandchildren Kashus Reed, Dylan Reed, Atticus Reed, Shawn Reed, Nevaeh Reed, Aubrey Powell, Korbin Morell, and Bryson Teal and his great grandchild Knox Reed.
