Cynthia Farr Chavis' Obituary
Cynthia was born on December 14, 1967 in Newton, Texas to her late parents Sherman Lee Farr and Leola Ashworth. At the early age of 4, this beautiful baby girl would walk barefooted down the road along side of her eldest sister Sheron, to pick berries from the blackberry trees.
In the early 70's her mother moved her and siblings to San Francisco, California where she attended Brett Hart Elementary, Garnett Middle School, and attended and graduated Jefferson High School, where she played basketball and ran track.
In the late 80's, Cynthia would then move her children to Suisun City to provide them a healthier lifestyle environment, and began a life-long journey with PG&E.
She then relocated to Sacramento, California buying her first home.
In 2017, she would meet Daniel nicknaming him "The Chavis" and "sweet pea" for her. Wanting to learn more about each other Daniel surprised her to a date at the Firehouse in Old Sacramento. They both shared a favorite song, "Thinking out loud" and "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran. From there, love was in the air. On November 1st, 2019 Daniel proposed and she said, yes!
On November 2, 2023, Cynthia passed away in Sacramento, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Daniel Chavis; her three children: Christopher Nathan Smith, Christina Marie Tyson and Jessica Broussard and bonus children, Tasha, Jr., Jason, Markisha, Polo, Marcus and Michelle; eleven grandchildren; Jonathan, Juliana, TeAra Marie, Christopher Jr., Noah, Kamiyah, Kevin, Winter, Marcel, Javion and Azarias as well as one great-grandchild on the way.
Cynthia is also survived by three siblings: Sheron Farr, Aletha Farr, and Ray Farr and a host of nieces and nephews.
Cynthia will be dearly missed but never forgotten by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
