Clarence Edward Sweat was born on June 18,1941 in Lexington, Ky to Ms. Lillian Taylor and Dewey Sweat, Sr.
Clarence graduated from Paul Lawrence High School in Lexington, Ky in 1959. After which he served in the United States Army for 25 yrs and retired as 1st Sargent in Fort Ord California in 1977 , where he met and married his beloved wife Soila R. Sweat.
Clarence is survived by his loving mother, Mrs. Lillian T. Jackson , Sons: Gregory Sweat, Laance Sweat, Daughters: Charmaine E. Brown, Tanya R. Quinney. Grand children: Monique V. Brown “Beeber’s”, Vincent A. Brown Jr, Soila D. Vaughan “Tootie”. Great grand daughter Yani V. Melendez. Three sisters: Mary Elizabeth, Joan Marie, Yvonne Francis, Two Brothers: John Arthur (Shirrel), Leon Gibson. One Aunt Roberta Taylor; A host of nieces, nephews, sister in-laws, brother in-laws.
Clarence is preceded in death by the love of his life Soila R. Sweat. Step Dad Ollie G. Jackson (pap), five uncles and five aunts. Grandpa Sweat reunited with the love of his life Soila on November 22, 2015.
“We have peace knowing you are where you have always wanted to be, with Mama”! We love you grandpa and we will all be together one day.
